For safety, we avoid applying glitter near young children's eyes and offer alternative placements. Parental consent is required for kids, and yes - this service is just as fun for adults too!

Yes. Glitter gel can be applied to the face, hair, shoulders, arms, or collarbone area depending on the guest’s preference. For younger children, glitter is often applied to the hair or arms, while face applications are typically recommended for older children so they can comfortably keep the glitter in place and avoid rubbing their eyes.
Glitter tattoos are applied differently. They cannot be applied to hair or the face. Glitter tattoos are designed to be applied only to the body, typically on areas such as arms, or legs, where they adhere best and last the longest.
Glitter tattoos are waterproof and typically last between 1–5 days depending on skin type, bathing habits, and friction from clothing. They are designed to stay on through regular activities such as washing hands or light swimming. If you would like to remove them earlier, they can be removed using oil-based products such as baby oil or oil based makeup remover.
Yes. We use cosmetic-grade festival glitter and professional skin-safe adhesives that are specifically designed for use on skin. These products are widely used by professional glitter artists at children’s events, festivals, and parties. As with any cosmetic product, we avoid applying glitter to irritated or broken skin.mover.
We typically recommend planning for about 10-15 guests per hour for the best experience. However, we can often accommodate up to about 20 guests in one hour by offering just 1 out of the 2 glitter types.
Our minimum booking within Durham Region ( Oshawa, Pickering, Ajax, Whitby, Clarington, Brock, Scugog, Uxbridge, Bowmanville, Newcastle + Port Perry ) is one hour. If your event is located within Durham Region, you are welcome to book just 1 hour.
For events outside of the cities and towns listed above, the minimum booking time is 2 hours.
Please contact us as soon as possible to let us know that your group size has changed. We will advise whether the new number of guests can still be accommodated within your booked time or whether additional time would be recommended. We would hate for anyone to miss out, so we always want to make sure your booking duration is appropriate for your group size.
Yes, absolutely. You are welcome to send us design ideas or themes. We will review them and determine whether they can be accommodated within this format. Whenever possible, we are happy to include specific designs in our menu.
No. Setup time is outside of your booked hours. Our glitter artists typically arrive about 5-10 minutes before the scheduled start time so they can set up and be ready to begin right on time.
Ideally, please provide 1 table and 2 chairs. If you are unable to provide these, please let us know in advance and we will bring our own. Even just the chairs are extremely helpful, as tables are easier for us to transport but chairs can be more difficult. If you do not mention otherwise, we will assume a table and chairs will be available.
To place a booking, please contact us and provide the following information:
• Date of your event
• Preferred start time
• Event location
• How many kids are you expecting to have at your event
• Age range of the children
Once we receive this information, we will check availability.
If we are able to accommodate your request, we will send you a booking form to fill out and instructions to submit the $50 deposit to hello@happykidspartyco.ca.
Please include a note with your e-transfer indicating what the deposit is for. For example:
“Princess Party – April 19 – Emma’s Birthday.”
Once the booking form and deposit are received, we will send you a confirmation email. Your booking is not confirmed until you receive this confirmation.
After your booking is confirmed, you typically will not hear from us again until a few days before your event. At that time, we will send a confirmation email to review the details once more and ensure everything is correct (address, time, etc.).
Of course, if you would like to reach out before then, you are always welcome to contact us. Please note that due to high email volume, non-urgent emails may take up to 48 hours to receive a response. Urgent matters are always prioritized and responded to within 24 hours.
We use cosmetic-grade festival-style glitter gel, cosmetic-grade loose glitter and professional skin-safe adhesives designed specifically for use on skin. All products are high-quality professional products used by experienced glitter artists.
Absolutely. Our Glitter Bar experience is popular for both kids’ parties and adult events. At children’s parties, we typically give kids priority so they can enjoy their turn first. If there is time remaining within your booking window, adults are more than welcome to receive glitter applications or glitter tattoos as well. If you are hosting an adult party, bridal shower, festival-style event, or corporate event, our Glitter Bar can also be booked specifically for adults.
Yes, with some limitations. We do not apply glitter gel or glitter tattoos over irritated skin, rashes, broken skin, or areas affected by eczema. Our products are cosmetic-grade and designed specifically for face and body application. If a guest has very sensitive skin or known allergies, we are happy to perform a small patch test before application to ensure their skin reacts comfortably.
If you cancel your booking more than 1 month before your scheduled event date, your $50 deposit will be fully refunded.
If the cancellation occurs less than one month before the event (even by one day), the deposit is non-refundable.
However, we understand that unexpected situations can happen, especially with children. If illness or another serious circumstance arises, we are happy to offer a one-time opportunity to reschedule your Glitter Bar booking to a new date, provided we have availability.
Not necessarily. If your party lasts several hours, we usually recommend starting the Glitter Bar about 30 minutes after the party begins. This allows guests time to arrive, settle in, and enjoy other activities before visiting the glitter station. However, if your party is shorter or you want to maximize the time available for glitter applications and glitter tattoos, starting right at the beginning of the event is perfectly fine.
Your $50 deposit is applied toward the total cost of your Glitter Bar service. The remaining balance is due on the day of the event.
We do not accept cash. Payments can be made by e-transfer or by credit card through the invoice we provide. E-transfer is preferred because credit card payments include processing fees, but both options are available for your convenience.
At this time, we do not offer discounts for combining multiple party services. Each service (such as Glitter Bar, Face Painting, or other event entertainment) requires a dedicated professional entertainer with specialized skills and equipment. For this reason, our services are priced individually on an à la carte basis.
You can view examples of our Glitter Bar setups, glitter applications, and glitter tattoo designs on our Instagram. Please note that we do not photograph children without parental permission. Because our events are often busy, our artists may not always have the opportunity to request permission for photos during the event, so our gallery may show a limited number of examples.
Glitter gel is water-based and can be easily removed with water.
Glitter tattoos are waterproof and designed to last several days. They will naturally fade over time, but if you would like to remove them sooner, they can be removed using oil-based products such as baby oil, coconut oil, or makeup remover followed by soap and water and a bit if scrubbing.
