Painting Princess Parties

This experience includes one fully costumed princess performer and one assistant, a guided step-by-step painting session, all art supplies (including pre-sketched canvases), a short storytime, interactive elements, a birthday coronation with tiara, and photo opportunities.

The experience runs for approximately 70 - 75 minutes, offering a slightly extended format to comfortably include both the painting activity and princess interaction.

The party begins with a short princess introduction and storytime, followed by a guided painting session (with a short game break), and ends with a coronation ceremony and photos. The flow may adjust slightly based on the group to ensure the best experience.

Each child will receive a pre-sketched canvas inspired by the chosen princess theme, making it easy and fun for all skill levels.

We offer:

    •    8x10 canvases (best for younger children, painted flat on the table)

    •    11x14 canvases (great for older kids, can be used with easels)

We’re happy to recommend the best option based on the group’s age.

The standard package includes up to 10 children, with the option to add more for an additional cost. The maximum number of children for this party is 16.

Please let us know as soon as possible. We typically confirm final numbers about 1 week before the event to prepare materials accordingly.

Please have the following ready:

    •    Tables and chairs for all participating children (chairs optional)

    •    Table coverings (tablecloths)

    •    One paper plate per child (used as a paint palette)

    •    One cup per child with approximately 1 inch of water

Great question! For most of our services, we bring and handle absolutely everything.

For this specific experience, we do ask you to prepare a few simple items (tables, table coverings, plates, and water cups). This is not due to cost — it’s purely to ensure the party runs smoothly and starts on time.

Our assistant typically has about 10–15 minutes for full setup, which includes arranging all painting materials, setting up canvases and easels, preparing paints, aprons, and brushes. Having the basic items pre-set allows us to use that time efficiently and focus on creating a seamless, high-quality experience for the kids.

This small bit of preparation helps maximize the actual party time — so the children get the full experience without delays.

Not required, but if possible, a small cozy area (like a chair or seat) for storytime helps create a more magical experience.

Yes! The painting is designed to be age-appropriate and beginner-friendly, making it perfect for younger kids ( 3 + ) while still engaging for older ones.

While this experience is suitable for children ages 3 and up, we recommend it best for ages 5+, as the format is more geared toward slightly older children.

Younger children (ages 3–4) are absolutely welcome and will still enjoy the activities. However, the painting portion may be shortened for this age group, with additional games incorporated to better match their attention span.

Overall, this experience is most engaging and well-paced for children ages 5 and up.

We recommend inviting guests to arrive ar least 15 minutes before the start time to ensure everyone is ready when the activities begin.

We will check the availability of your preferred princess for your event date and time.

To place a booking, please contact us and provide the following information:

• Date of your event

• Preferred start time

• Event location

• Which princess you would like

• Preferred duration of the visit

Once we receive this information, we will check availability.

If we are able to accommodate your request, we will send you a booking form to fill out and instructions to submit the $50 deposit to hello@happykidspartyco.ca.

Please include a note with your e-transfer indicating what the deposit is for. For example:

“Princess Party – April 19 – Emma’s Birthday.”

Once the booking form and deposit are received, we will send you a confirmation email. Your booking is not confirmed until you receive this confirmation.

Yes. After your painting princess party booking is confirmed, you will typically hear from us again a few days before your event.

At that time we send a confirmation email reviewing the event details to ensure everything is correct.

You are always welcome to reach out anytime if you have questions before then.

Your $50 deposit is deducted from the total price of the party. The remaining balance is due on the day of the event.

We do not accept cash payments. Payment can be made by:

• e-transfer

• credit card through the invoice we provide

E-transfer is preferred, but credit card payments are always welcome. We do not accept cash.

At this time, we do not offer discounts for combining services.

Each service requires its own professional entertainer and preparation, so services are priced individually. 

If you cancel more than 1 month before your event, your $50 deposit will be refunded.

If cancellation occurs less than 1 month before the event, the deposit is non-refundable.

However, we understand that unexpected situations happen. If illness or another serious circumstance arises, we are happy to offer a one-time opportunity to move your booking to a new date, provided we have availability.

For locations outside Durham Region travel fee may apply depending on distance.
