Swimming Mermaid

 Our Swimming Mermaid Party is offered as a 1-hour experience at $300 + HST.

 This package includes a real swimming mermaid appearance, interactive games, singing, storytelling, a mini glitter makeover station (assistant-led, for dry land parties only, up to 12 kids), a birthday coronation moment with a tiara for the birthday child, and plenty of time for photos. A dedicated assistant is also included to support the flow of the experience.

 Yes, this package is offered as a 1-hour experience only.

There is no travel fee for the following cities:

• Oshawa

• Whitby

• Ajax

• Pickering

• Clarington 

• Bowmanville

• Courtice 

For locations outside Durham Region ( Toronto, North York, Markham, Vaughan etc) as well as Newcastle, Uxbridge and Scugog travel fee may apply.

This experience is best suited for children who are comfortable around water and enjoy imaginative, interactive play. It works well for a wide range of ages depending on the setup (in-water or poolside).

 The ideal group size is up to 10 children.

Up to 12 children can be accommodated.

For larger groups, additional support may be required at an extra fee.

Yes, a suitable water setup is required. This can include a private pool, or another approved body of water.

We also require:

• Safe and clean water conditions
• A safe entry and exit point for the mermaid
• Clear access for the assistant to wheel the mermaid into the pool area
   

If a makeover station is included, a small table and two chairs are required for that portion.

 You will need to provide:

• A pool or approved water source (please share details and photos in advance)
   
• A safe access route for the mermaid (she will be assisted into the space)
   
• Adult supervision for all children
   
• Weather-appropriate conditions (for outdoor events)
   
• Reasonably warm, clean water
   

We will review your setup ahead of time to ensure it is appropriate and safe for the experience.

Absolutely! We always allow time for photos throughout the experience and at the end of the visit.

 Yes! We’re happy to gather everyone and lead a cheerful Happy Birthday moment with the cake.

 Yes, within reason! If there’s a small element you’d love us to include because it’s your child’s favorite, feel free to let us know. We’re happy to accommodate special touches whenever possible.

That said, we do follow a structured program, so we’re not able to fully redesign or restructure the party. Small customizations are always welcome — full overhauls are not.

 To place a booking, please contact us with the following information:

• Date of your event

• Preferred start time

• Event location ( including all the details regarding the body of water )

• Group size and age range

Once we confirm availability, we will send you a booking form and instructions to submit the $50 deposit to hello@happykidspartyco.ca.

Your booking is confirmed once the booking form and deposit are received and you receive a confirmation email from us. Unless the confirmation is received, your booking is not confirmed.

Yes. We typically check in a day or 2 before your event to confirm all the details and make sure everything is correct on file.

You are always welcome to reach out before then if you have any questions.

Your $50 deposit is deducted from the total price, and the remaining balance is due on the day of the event.

We accept:

• e-transfer

• credit card through invoice

We do not accept cash payments.

E-transfer is preferred, but credit card payment through the invoice is absolutely fine as well.

If you cancel more than one month before your event, your $50 deposit will be refunded.

If the cancellation happens less than one month before the event, the deposit is non-refundable, as the time slot is reserved specifically for your party.

That said, we understand that unexpected situations can happen, especially with young children. If illness or another unavoidable situation comes up, we are happy to offer a one-time opportunity to reschedule your party, provided we have availability.

Tips are completely optional and never expected.

However, if you had a wonderful experience and would like to show extra appreciation, our entertainers are absolutely allowed to accept tips.

If you do choose to tip, we kindly ask that tips be given directly to the entertainer in cash after the party, ideally while children are not watching so the magic of the character experience stays intact.

 Yes — safety is extremely important to us, and we want to be very clear:

Our mermaid and assistant are entertainers and performers. They are not lifeguards, swim instructors, or supervisors.

• The safety of all children in and around the water is the full responsibility of the host and supervising adults
• Children who are not confident swimmers must wear appropriate flotation devices
• Active adult supervision is required at all times
   

We reserve the right to adjust or modify activities if anything appears unsafe, to ensure all children can participate comfortably.

However, supervision and overall safety remain the responsibility of the organizing adults at all times.
